Application Guide

E-Rickshaw Gearbox

Translate passenger load, stop-start duty and axle geometry into a gearbox RFQ.

Operating Inputs

Describe the duty before selecting a model.

  • Passenger or cargo configuration and gross vehicle load
  • Typical urban speed and maximum permitted speed
  • Stop-start frequency and route gradient
  • Motor voltage, power, input shaft and mounting
  • Rear axle width, wheel size and half-shaft teeth
  • Noise, shift-control and service-access requirements

Common Selection Risks

Prevent these specification gaps

01

Generic “rickshaw gearbox” request

The term covers multiple housing, ratio, shifter and axle configurations. Photos and dimensions are required.

02

Voltage treated as ratio information

Voltage identifies the electrical system, not the mechanical reduction. Both must be supplied.

03

Old and new housings assumed interchangeable

Catalogue labels do not prove direct fit. Compare mounting and shaft interfaces.

Application RFQ

Send vehicle photos, passenger or cargo load, axle width and motor nameplate data.

Include photos, dimensions, motor data and the expected operating duty.
